Micah Malcolm - Executive Chef
Chef Micah grew up in Stockton and is a graduate of San Joaquin Delta College's Culinary Arts Program. In college, Micah came to Taste for dinner. On a tour of the kitchen that night he was asked by Chef/Owner Mark Berkner what he wanted to do with his future and a young Micah replied that he wanted to be the Chef of Taste Restaurant. Chef Micah is a man true to his words.

Micah joined the team in 2010 and within a year was promoted to Sous Chef of the Volcano Union Pub + Inn. He has been the Executive Chef at Taste two times and spent a year working the dining room floor at Taste to round out his experience. Micah was part of the team who cooked at the James Beard House in 2013.

Micah is inspired by local seasonal offerings and is always exploring new partnerships in the community. He is passionate about all things food and beverage.

Chef Micah is involved in the community he now calls home by being a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West and on the Board of Directors for the Amador Council of Tourism.
